Blue Water Road Testing

Blue Water Road Testing has provided driving skills tests in the blue water area since 1999. All examiners have undergone thorough FBI background checks, physical examinations, and are fully trained and licensed by the State of Michigan.

All road tests are conducted by appointment only.

Teens under 18 years old must bring the following on the day of your road test:

• Level One Learners Permit (must be issued for at least 6 months).
• Segment 2 Certificate of Completion.
• Driving log with at least 50 hours of documented driving.
• Up to date proof of insurance for the vehicle you will be driving.
• Up to date registration for the vehicle you will be driving.
• A parent or legal guardian must accompany you during the road test.

Adults 18 years of age and older with a Temporary Instruction Permit must bring the following on the day of the test:

• Temporary Instruction Permit (must be issued for at least 1 month unless waived).
• Up to date registration for the vehicle you will be driving.
• Up to date proof of insurance for the vehicle you will be driving.
• You must be accompanied to the road test site by a licensed adult. However, only the examiner and the person taking the road test are allowed in the vehicle during the test.

Automobile test: $70 by cash or check.

Motorcycle test: $50 by cash or check.

Payment by card coming soon.

There is no deposit required prior to the day of the test.

Fees will be paid before testing begins.

There will be no refund once the test starts.

$20 refund for automobiles that fail for document or vehicle failures only.

$50 charge for an automobile re-test. (valid only 2 weeks from original test date).

$30 charge for failure to appear to the appointment without 24-hour phone call notice.

$25 returned check charge for all returned checks.
